Mix the Components

What is Chlorine Dioxide?
Chlorine Dioxide (ClO2) is a yellow-green gas with powerful oxidizing properties. Despite its name, it is chemically distinct from chlorine (Cl2) and works through a completely different mechanism. ClO2 is widely used in municipal water systems, food processing, and industrial applications worldwide.
How is it Different from Chlorine?
Unlike chlorine, ClO2 does not produce harmful trihalomethanes (THMs) or haloacetic acids (HAAs) as byproducts. It remains effective across a wide pH range (4-10), while chlorine loses effectiveness above pH 8. ClO2 also does not react with ammonia or most organic compounds to form toxic byproducts.
